Jennifer Tanner

Jennifer grew up in the Central Valley of California around many diverse cultures. She moved to Utah to attend Brigham Young University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish after training to be a junior high and high school teacher. As a longtime champion of immigrant rights, Jen has a deep understanding of immigration policy issues and regularly works with both clients and our government to advocate for immigrant causes.

While Jen began assisting Brian with cases part-time in 2011, in 2018 she began managing Tanner Immigration and Family Law full-time.  In addition to immigration related matters, she advocates for domestic violence and sexual assault survivors, the LGBTQIA+ community, the movement for Black lives, and autism community issues. She is a proud mother of four young children. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, coaching soccer, walks with her dogs, salsa music, watching NPR Tiny Desk Concerts on YouTube, and exploring the Salt Lake area with Brian and the kids.
